Sydney is a model, actress, Reiki practitioner, event producer and former dancer with the L.A City Municipal Dance Squad, a high-energy, all-woman dance troupe leading monthly community workshops across the city of Los Angeles. The multifaceted talent is also a proud mother. The Nevada native grew up with performance in her blood. Sydney’s grandparents were part of a circus — those influences can be seen in Sydney’s work today. She grew up dancing and acting in Las Vegas, but it wasn’t until she moved to Los Angeles that her acting career really took off. She landed roles on hit shows like NBC’s “This Is Us” and starred in films such as “The Bygone” on Netflix.
While Sydney’s acting career began to thrive, so did her dancing. Sydney was formerly with L.A City Municipal Dance Squad (LACMDS), a group of women who encourage each other and inspire others to let go of any dancing insecurities. The group is more about “creating bonds within itself and building up its members than putting on a show”. LACMDS hosted several workshops at the MOCA and their contribution to the community has earned them features in TIME and Vogue Magazine. Driven by self-expression, Modeling has also become a creative medium for Sydney.
The ethnically ambiguous beauty caught the attention of a scout online. Sydney is Mexican, Native American and Puerto-Rican. She’s worked for brands like Levi’s, Gap, Nike, Benefit and Youth to the People. Sydney has been bringing smiles to her community with her most recent project, Fool Hardy—a dance party series which features burlesque, clowning, miming, live art, self-exploration and an “overall damn good time”. Fool Hardy draws influence from her family’s circus history which is now being celebrated by her very own. Sydney’s musician husband Adam Winn and baby Jasper are Fool Hardy regulars. Sydney and Adam will be releasing their first original Winn Winn song in May of 2022 titled “Pool Day”
